I am a 63 year old army vet. I served during the end of the Vietnam conflict. I have the following pre-existing conditions: spinal stenosis, fibroid tumors, hypertension, cataracts. I have not been able to afford ANY medical care since May 2015, when my employer refused to pay for surgery and I was unable to work without it.

I have a thyroid condition and PCOS. I’m trying to have a baby, and that’s always a risk. My insurance doesn’t have to cover that anymore.

I am in my 50s and if The ACHA goes through as it passed today, I will lose ACA and not be able to afford healthcare.

If I can’t afford my depression meds I may become suicidal again. If I can’t afford my heart meds my blood pressure will lead to kidney failure. If I can’t afford my colonoscopy they won’t catch the polyps until they’re cancerous (literally what killed my grandfather).

I have a rare form of leukemia, no cure or remission. I can stay alive for a long time if I take daily oral chemo. But without insurance I can’t afford my meds and I will die without my medications.
