Reason #43
I have Crohn’s disease, a disease that in genetic, and has nothing to do with my life choices or personal health. I’m more healthy than most, exercise 5x a week, and eat healthy. But once I can no longer afford my medicine, my body will attack my intestines, and I will no longer be able to absorb the nutrients in food. While crohns won’t kill me, I could easily get sick with something else since I have no nutrients in my body. People have been known to become addicted to pain killers when they can’t afford proper medicine, which will also be expensive. There are also a handful of instances where people just kill themselves because of the intolerable stomach pain.
In review, my Crohn’s disease will kill me.
