This proposed bill is awful for the people of the United States. Why would you introduce a bill that effectively treats women like their gender is a pre-existing medical condition, and prevent thousands of American families from affordable family plan options like regular pregnancy? Hiking the price of a regular pregnancy by $17,000 would cripple my millenial generation for a forseeable future. Not to mention it would effectively negate the entire meaning of insurance in general. Why would any person pay a premium and immediately be entered into the “high risk” category of insurance premiums as soon as they actually needed medical attention? This bill proposal is insane, and needs to be Shut Down. Please be reasonable and vote against this bill. It does not serve your constituents in any meaningful way.

Because I have cancer which is a pre-existing condition as per the new bill. You are murderers. Every one of you that voted to repeal ACA. I hope you too have to choose between death and going into debt one day soon.

I am eighteen years old. I am a college student. I do not wear short skirts, I do not drink or smoke. I do not need to justify the fact that I was assaulted, twice. I deserve a future where the vile actions of my attackers have shaped my entire life, do not continue to dictate my life. I was raped and yet I was not hopeless. I am now. I am hopeless at the thought of living in a world where my victimhood is questioned and blamed. I am hopeless at the state of our government, and I am hopeless at your ability to represent people like me in your constituency: college students, professionals, men and women and children who are being hurt again for the actions of terrible people. I do not know much about you, besides your voting record. But, I pray you don’t have daughters. If you do, I pray they never feel the hopelessness I do.

I’ve got 5 different pre-existing conditions, including asthma and heart problems, that will definitively kill me if left untreated.

The cost of my asthma medication with insurance is $50 a month and although that doesn’t seem like a lot it’s still hard to come up with some times. Now my medication may be so expensive I may not be able to afford it alone with all of my arthritis medications, cancer, migraine, anti depression, and high blood pressure. So now at 62 my life is possibly over and you may have some of my ashes to remember what you voted against. My life!

I have 3 of 4 of your new “pre existing conditions” (and a few others) meaning I could have a hard time finding coverage. Since I have an autoimmune disease and I get sick all the time, I could legitimately die if I can’t afford a doctor’s visit. Thanks.
